Dust Surveys

It is recognised that exposure to dust in excessive amounts can create respiratory problems.

Dust of any kind can be designated a substance hazardous to health under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, when it is present in concentrations equal to or above Workplace Exposure Limits.  It is the employer’s responsibility to identify when excessive dust may be a problem in the workplace.

COSHH Regulations require a competent person to assess workplace dust exposure levels.  THSP can provide a specialist consultant to measure your employees’ exposure to inhalable and respirable dust.

We will then compare results to the Workplace Exposure Limits as outlined in HSE Guidance Note EH40, make recommendations for appropriate control measures and identify where improvements should be made.

Request a call back from THSP to discuss this service in more detail.
