Who will Benefit	Site Managers and Supervisors working in construction and civil engineering along with those involved in the management of subcontractors
Legislative Requirement	The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 Construction (Health Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1996 The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
Aims of Training	Assists managers in developing a better understanding of the moral and social responsibilities of their role, as well as giving them the skills and knowledge they need to manage health and safety on site
Training Content	Health and safety facts and figures Accident prevention Health and safety system in Great Britain Health and safety and the manager Implementing health and safety legislation At the end of the training delegates will be able to: Appreciate the impact of health and safety in the construction environment Recognise the role of accident prevention Understand the information required to complete effective safety risk assessments Take account of health and safety legislation when running a site

Resources Required	Client to provide: Training room to comfortably accommodate all delegates with 240V power supply. This is a purely theoretical training course Trainer to provide: Training Equipment (course notes and presentation package).
