IOSH Managing Safely

Course Duration Four consecutive days or Four separate days, one day a week
Who will Benefit Managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation
Aims of Training This Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) training course covers all the main health and safety issues, and includes a session tackling the environment too. It consists of eight modules:
  • Introducing Managing Safely
  • Assessing risks
  • Controlling risks
  • Understanding your responsibilities
  • Identifying hazards
  • Investigating accidents and incidents
  • Measuring performance
  • Protecting our environment


  • The course offers step-by-step guides to carry out key health and safety activities. Checklists and other materials are used to complement the training. All the examples and case studies are straightforward and easy to relate to, whatever business the delegate comes from. Importantly, it gets people thinking about health and safety as more than just something they have to deal with as part of their job.
    Maximum Number of Delegates 10
    This course is also run as a public course

    Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments at the end of the course are awarded an IOSH certificate in Managing Safely.
    Resources Required Client to provide (if in house):
  • Training room to comfortably accommodate all the delegates with 240V power supply for the theory component of the course.
