Safe Use of Harnesses and Lanyards

Who will Benefit	Anyone who has to use safety harnesses as a fall protection system
Legislative Requirement	Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992 Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 Work at Height Regulations 2005 The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM 2007)
Aims of Training	To ensure that delegates understand: Reasons for wearing harnesses Correct wearing Care and maintenance Types of fall arrest devices Selection of anchor points Emergency Rescue Procedures and suspension training
Maximum Number of Delegates	10 All delegates must have the correct PPE in order to attend this course: Safety Boots Helmet Hi-viz jacket Harness and Lanyard
Resources Required	Client to provide: Harnesses and lanyards Training room to comfortably accommodate all the delegates with 240V power supply for the theory component of the course Trainer to provide: Training Equipment (course notes and presentation package)
