Safety Awareness for Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Operatives

Course Duration One Day
Who will Benefit All mechanical engineering operatives who need to be aware of safety risks about their place of work
Aims of Training By the end of the course the delegates will have an understanding of the main aims of:
  • The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Associated Regulations, Codes of Practise and HSE guidance information
  • In addition they will have an understanding of:
  • Health and Hygiene requirement for site works
  • Electrical Safety
  • Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER)
  • Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER)
  • Working at Heights
  • Fire Prevention and Procedures
  • Delegates should also be able to recognise risk and hazard circumstances on site and take the necessary preventative action

    They should have a grasp of the legal requirements to properly discharge their responsibilities
    Maximum Number of Delegates 15 per course
    Resources Required Client to provide:
  • Training room to comfortably accommodate all the delegates with 240V power supply. This is a purely theoretical training course

  • Trainer to provide:
  • Training Equipment (course notes and presentation package)
