All mechanical engineering operatives who need to be aware of safety risks about their place of work |
| Aims of Training |
By the end of the course the delegates will have an understanding of the main aims of:
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Associated Regulations, Codes of Practise and HSE guidance information
In addition they will have an understanding of:
Health and Hygiene requirement for site works
Electrical Safety
Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER)
Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER)
Working at Heights
Fire Prevention and Procedures
Delegates should also be able to recognise risk and hazard circumstances on site and take the necessary preventative action
They should have a grasp of the legal requirements to properly discharge their responsibilities
