IOSH Directing Safely

Course Duration One Day
Who will Benefit This Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) course is intended for people with strategic responsibility for determining and implementing effective health and safety management within 'small and medium sized enterprises'. This applies to organisations with fewer than 250 employees
Aims of Training To ensure that people at the most senior levels appreciate health and safety. The course reflects the principles embodied in:
  • The Health and Safety Executive's guidance. 'Successful Health and Safety Management' (HSG65)
  • The Turnbull report ('Internal controls: Guidance for Directors on the Combined Code')
  • The DETR/HEC's 'Revitalising Health and Safety' strategy statement
    • There are eight core modules to Directing Safely

    An IOSH Directing Safely certificate is awarded to delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments
    Resources Required Client to provide:
  • Training room to comfortably accommodate all the delegates with 240V power supply for the theory component of the course
