Safe Use of Oxy/Gas Cutting Equipment

Course Duration	Half a day including practical element
Who will Benefit	Anyone who has to use Oxy/Gas Cutting Equipment, and any supervisors/managers overseeing this operation
Legislative Requirement	Regulation 9 (1) of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
Aims of Training	The aim of the course is to train selected people in the skills and knowledge needed to achieve the standard of competence to carry out the process of cutting materials safely
Training Objectives	To ensure that delegates are able to: Identify Cylinders and their contents Understand the need for safe handling and storage of Cylinders Identify and Use Ancillary equipment such as Hoses, Regulators and Blowpipes Identify operational faults and immediate action to be taken Understand general precautions and permits to work systems relating to hot works
Maximum Number of Delegates	8 All delegates must have the correct PPE in order to attend this course, i.e: the correct PPE ie safety boots helmet hi-viz jacket
Resources Required	Client to provide: All equipment for practical element Training room to comfortably accommodate all the delegates with 240V power supply Trainer to provide: Training Equipment (course notes and presentation package)
