Confined Space Entry Procedures and Use of Escape BA

Course Duration One Day including practical element
Who will Benefit Engineers, Technicians and Operators who are required themselves, or have responsibility for others who inspect or work in confined spaces.
Legislative Requirement The Confined Spaces Regulations 1997 and The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974
Aims of Training To provide instruction on the safe entry, egress and working procedures associated with confined space operations.
  • Legislation & Regulations relating to confined spaces
  • Atmospheric hazards and monitoring devices
  • Gas detection
  • Personal protective equipment and personal hygiene
  • Manpower Requirements and risk Assessments
  • Safe systems of work and risk assessment
  • Communication & emergency procedure
  • The safe use of escape sets
  • Safe entry and egress
  • Use of ropes, harnesses and 'man-riding' winches
  • Equipment servicing and cleaning
  • Practical exercise using CABA escape equipment
  • Maximum Number of Delegates 8
    (delegates should wear suitable 'casual' clothing and bring overalls, hard-hats and safety footwear)
    Resources Required Client to provide:
  • Training room to comfortably accommodate all delegates with 240V power supply for the theory component of the course
  • Confined Space and all equipment necessary for practical element
