Ten Days - Novice
Suitable for Experienced - Operatives with a minimum of six months continuous experience Experienced - Operatives who meet the CITB candidate criteria
Novice - Little or no experience

Legislative Requirement The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
Aims of Training At the end of the course the delegates will be able to:
  • Understand legal responsibilities
  • Carry out required inspections
  • Safely operate the machinery
  • Maximum Number of Delegates 3 men : 1 machine

    All delegates attending on-site training must have the correct PPE i.e:
  • safety boots
  • helmet
  • hi-viz jacket
  • 3 men : 1 machine

    All delegates attending on-site training must have the correct PPE i.e:
  • safety boots
  • helmet
  • hi-viz jacket
  • Resources Required Client to provide:
  • Access to a fully operational 180° Excavator and sufficient space to carry out training and/or assessment
  • Training room to comfortably accommodate the delegates with 240V power supply for any theory component of the course

  • Trainer to provide:
  • Training Equipment
  • Client to provide:
  • As opposite, PLUS
  • Comply with the CITB CPCS equipment/site specification
  • Provide a letter confirming the 'experience' of each delegate
  • Provide all the delegate's National Insurance Numbers
